From the day the menace of bankruptcy has been delivered, the debtor has 20 days to make a payment or to negotiate a payment agreement with us. If non of those things happen, the opening of bankruptcy is requested at the court. Then the case continues directly with the bankruptcy office, which is responsible for creating the schedule of claims and for examining the situation of the debtor. Most of the time this is a lengthy process and can take from a few months up to over a year. As soon as the bankruptcy office closes the case we are informed on the results. If the complete outstanding amount is covered, the outstanding amount is paid out after the termination of the objection period or a partial amount is paid out. If only a part of the outstanding amount is covered a certificate of loss due to bankruptcy is issued. In the case that no amount has been recovered a certificate of loss over the full amount is issued.
